We are a group of scholars who have studied and written about the bar exam, licensing, and legal education for many years. We pooled our knowledge to offer suggestions for how jurisdictions might continue licensing new lawyers in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic and have continued to research and write about lawyer licensing. We are also working with several jurisdications as they explore alternatives to the traditional bar exam.
